A recent report by Statistics Canada claims that more number of applicants is likely to immigrate to Canada following the increasing job opportunities. The recent projections also reveal that Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan are likely to attract more immigrants in the coming years. Moreover, the western provinces of Canada are world’s largest exporters of energy and agricultural products. And there seems no reason why people wouldn’t like to settle in Canada when they are provided with so many amenities like it offers free medical services to its permanent residents as well as citizens, free education for children upto grade 11, travel in more than 100 countries without having a visa, high quality of life, etc.

The latest employment data claims that Western Canada created around 18,800 jobs in Canada. The main reason behind why people are attracted towards settling in Western Canada is due to the improving economy and development in oil and gas as well as mining and construction sector. As per the spin-off effect, as the number of immigrants for the above mentioned fields increases simultaneously requirement of other fields like health, food and education also increases. Currently, other cities like Saskatoon and Fort Mcmurry are also attracting new immigrants. As per the reports, only Alberta created 80% jobs during the year 2013. Western Canada is also considered to be the best place to do business or invest in business following its abundant natural resources, technologies and low business cost. Moreover, the United States is also the closest trading partner of Western Canada. Survey claims that immigrants in Canada are highly educated and they are paid high wages when compared to immigrants in the USA. The global economy is changing so Canada also needs highly skilled workers who can cop-up with the changing technologies as well. Due to which the competitive business firms are creating high quality jobs for the newcomers.
