Canadian Skilled Workers Program

Foreign skilled workers and professionals are greatly needed in Canada. One of the objectives is to welcome newcomers who will contribute to Canada’s growing economy. Later on applicants who successfully apply for skilled workers program can receive Canadian Immigration Visa.
You can either apply through Federal Skilled Workers Program or if you wish to reside in one of the Canadian province then you can go for Provincial Nominee Program. 

Canadian Skilled Workers Program

 Federal Skilled Workers Program:       
  1. In order to apply for the federal skilled worker program, applicants must:
  2. Your work experience should be of at least one year continuous full time or an equal amount in part time.
  3. You should be a paid worker. Volunteer work and unpaid internships don’t count.
  4. You should come under NOC skill type 0, A and B.
  5. You must meet the minimum language level of Canadian Language Benchmark 7 and take a language test approved by CIC
  6. You must have a Canadian secondary or post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree.
  7. You should provide an Educational Credential Assessment report from an agency approved by CIC.
  8. Applicant must have 67 points based on Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s immigration selection factors. 
Quebec Skilled Workers Program:
This system is designed to indicate which applicants are likely to become economically established upon immigration to Quebec. Inorder to qualify for Quebec Skilled Workers Program, single applicant must score atleast 49 points. Applicants who are successful under Quebec Immigration selection system are issued a Quebec Selection Certificate. Language test result must be submitted alongwith immigration application to be rewarded points for language proficiency. Upto 6 points may be awarded upon the interview for Adaptability. With these points, single applicant must score minimum of 55 points.

Provincial Nominee Program:              
Provincial Nominee Program allows to nominate individuals who wish to migrate to Canada and who are interested to settle in any particular province. Inorder to qualify for Provincial Nomination by the province and fast-track Canadian Permanent Residence, you should receive a job offer from an employer in the province in which you intend to reside. Each Canadian province has its unique Provincial Nomination. 

Different Provinces are Alberta, British Colombia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan and Yukon.
